Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], December 12 : The Council for Media and Satellite Broadcasting (CMSB), New Delhi, conferred the 8ᵗʰ CMSB National Awards 2025 upon Karnataka’s senior police leadership in recognition of their exceptional contributions to public safety, governance, crime prevention, cyber security, and metropolitan police administration.

The prestigious national ceremony was held at The Ashok LaLiT, Bengaluru, in the presence of senior dignitaries, representatives from media organisations, public institutions, and distinguished guests from across the country. The event reaffirmed CMSB’s commitment to recognising institutional leadership that upholds constitutional values of justice, integrity, discipline, transparency, and public trust.

The 2025 awards celebrated officers whose leadership and operational excellence have significantly strengthened law enforcement and citizen-centric governance in Karnataka.

Special Appreciation to Karnataka Police Leadership

CMSB conveyed its deepest institutional appreciation to M. A. Saleem, IPS, Director General & Inspector General of Police (DG & IGP), Karnataka. Under his visionary command and reform-oriented policing ethos, the Karnataka Police has continued to distinguish itself as a national model of professional excellence, administrative integrity, and citizen-focused governance.

His statesmanlike guidance and unwavering institutional support were instrumental in ensuring the dignified and nationally significant conduct of the 8ᵗʰ CMSB National Awards 2025.

Chairman’s Statement

Dr. Bickey Bangari, Chairman – CMSB, stated that during CMSB’s 13-year national journey from 2013 to 2025, the Council has been honoured to recognise Karnataka’s senior police leadership for their steadfast commitment to public service, democratic values, and constitutional duty.

He noted that Karnataka continues to set a national benchmark in policing through professionalism, transparency, and unwavering dedication to public welfare. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the CMSB Karnataka Unit and particularly acknowledged Mubarak S., Karnataka State President – CMSB, for his leadership and coordination in successfully advancing CMSB’s mission in the State.
