Enord Sets Up Drone Lab, Hosts AI-UAV Workshop at KSU

Riyadh, [Saudi Arabia], January 1: Enord Pvt. Ltd., an India-based AI-on-edge drone technology firm, has been invited to establish a Drone Laboratory and conduct a specialised technical workshop at the Centre of Excellence in Information Assurance (CoEIA) at King Saud University (KSU), marking a significant milestone in international academic and research collaboration.

The engagement was part of a strategic knowledge partnership programme titled “Resilient Intelligent Systems: AI & UAVs in the Era of Digital Transformation”, held on 29 December 2025 in Riyadh. The initiative was designed to strengthen institutional collaboration between industry and academia in advanced artificial intelligence and autonomous systems.

Hands-On Technical Workshop on AI and UAV Systems

As part of the programme, Enord conducted an intensive hands-on workshop focused on resilient AI architectures, intelligent UAV systems, and edge-based autonomous decision-making for real-world deployment. The workshop benefited faculty members, researchers, postgraduate students, and technology practitioners associated with KSU, offering them direct exposure to industry-grade AI-on-edge drone systems.

The sessions emphasised practical design approaches for autonomous systems operating beyond conventional GPS-based navigation, aligning research concepts with real-world operational challenges.

MoU Signed to Enable Long-Term Collaboration

A key highlight of the visit was the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Enord and the Center of Excellence in Information Assurance. The MoU establishes a structured framework for long-term collaboration, covering:

• Joint research and development initiatives

• Technology transfer and licensing

• Specialised training and capacity-building programmes

• Collaborative funding and grant initiatives

• Co-development of AI- and UAV-based solutions

This agreement lays the foundation for sustained cooperation in next-generation intelligent and autonomous systems.

Strengthening Global Research Footprint

The collaboration significantly strengthens Enord’s global academic and research footprint by enabling joint research, technology validation, and co-development of AI-on-edge and autonomous platforms. It also facilitates talent exchange between institutions, encouraging cross-pollination of ideas across regional innovation ecosystems.

For KSU and CoEIA, the partnership enhances access to applied industrial expertise, accelerating the translation of academic research into deployable technologies.
