Mahindra Launches XEV 9S & XUV 7XO in Mohali

The star-studded event saw Navneet Kaur Dhillon and Deep Sehgal Light Up the grand launch of Mahindra’s XEV 9S and XUV 7XO in Mohali.

Mohali, 9th January 2026: Mahindra has marked a significant milestone in India’s evolving automotive landscape with the grand unveiling of the Mahindra XEV 9S and Mahindra XUV 7XO at an exclusive launch event in Mohali. The showcase reaffirmed Mahindra’s commitment to democratising advanced technology, performance-led engineering, and contemporary design across both electric and internal combustion SUV segments.

The high-profile unveiling was led by Rajwinder Singh, Managing Director of Raj Vehicles, in collaboration with Harbir Singh and Maneet Singh, owners of Harbir Automotive Chandigarh. The partnership underscores Mahindra’s strong dealer ecosystem and its focus on strengthening regional customer engagement.

The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Navneet Kaur Dhillon and Deep Sehgal, alongside industry stakeholders, media representatives, and automobile enthusiasts. Together, they witnessed Mahindra’s vision for future-ready mobility rooted in innovation, safety, and performance.

Bookings for both models open on January 14, 2026, with customer deliveries commencing from January 23, 2026.

Mahindra XEV 9S: Redefining Electric SUV Performance

Taking centre stage at the unveiling was the Mahindra XEV 9S, a premium electric 7-seater SUV priced from ₹19.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Built on Mahindra’s advanced INGLO platform, the XEV 9S delivers up to 210 kW of power and 380 Nm of torque, making it the fastest electric 7-seater SUV in its segment, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.2 seconds.

The XEV 9S is offered with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery options, delivering a real-world driving range of up to 500 km. With superfast charging capability, the SUV can charge from 20 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes.

Interior space and technology are key highlights, with best-in-class cabin space of 4,076 litres, 527 litres of boot capacity, and an additional 150-litre frunk. Advanced features include intelligent adaptive suspension, VisionX AR-HUD, Level 2+ ADAS, three 31.24 cm HD displays, Harman Kardon audio with Dolby Atmos, 5G connectivity, and a comprehensive safety suite including seven airbags and advanced occupant monitoring.

The fully loaded Pack Three Above (79 kWh) variant is priced at ₹29.45 lakh (ex-showroom).

Mahindra XUV 7XO: Technology Democratised Across the Line-up

Mahindra also introduced the XUV 7XO, reinforcing its philosophy of making advanced technology accessible across variants. Starting from the base AX trim, the XUV 7XO offers segment-leading features typically reserved for higher-end SUVs.

Key highlights include a coast-to-coast triple-screen setup, ADRENOX+ powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon, wireless smartphone connectivity, Alexa with ChatGPT integration, and over 75 standard safety features. Level 2 ADAS, a 540-degree surround view camera, and blind view monitoring further elevate safety standards.

Design and comfort are equally emphasised with premium elements such as Bi-LED projector headlamps, panoramic skyroof, R19 alloy wheels, powered memory seats, ventilated seating, and dual-zone climate control. Multiple petrol and diesel powertrain options, along with manual, automatic, and optional all-wheel-drive configurations, ensure broad customer appeal.
