NTT Launches Bengaluru’s Largest Data Center Campus
NTT launches Bengaluru 4, a 100 MW data centre campus supporting AI, cloud and high-density workloads.
E-Launch at Prestige Tech Cloud, Devanahalli Marks a New Era in AI-Ready Infrastructure
Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], December 3: NTT has officially announced the virtual launch of Bengaluru 4, the city’s newest and largest data centre campus, situated within Prestige Tech Cloud at Devanahalli. The campus strengthens NTT’s expanding digital infrastructure in India and supports the rising demand for AI, cloud, and high-density workloads among enterprises and hyperscale clients.
Spread across 8.5 acres, the Bengaluru 4 campus is engineered to deliver 100 MW of facility load, including 67.2 MW of critical IT load. The master plan features three data centres—Bengaluru 4A, 4B, and 4C—each equipped with 22.4 MW of IT capacity. Every building houses seven high-density data halls, each offering 3.2 MW of scalable IT load to support advanced compute environments.
As of December 3, NTT confirmed that Bengaluru 4A is ready for commissioning, adding 22.4 MW of IT load in its first phase. This milestone marks a significant expansion in NTT’s Bengaluru operations, where the company already manages more than 26 MW of live IT load across existing campuses.
Power & Reliability
To ensure uninterrupted availability, the new campus includes a dedicated 220 kV GIS substation and a 220 kV LILO configuration connected directly to the state grid. The design minimizes transmission loss while offering extraordinary power stability—an essential requirement for AI and mission-critical applications.
Additional reliability features include a diesel generator backup for 48 hours of continuous operation and four dedicated Points of Entry (POE) for diversified connectivity.
Sustainability & Security
Aligned with NTT’s global sustainability roadmap, Bengaluru 4 is an IGBC Platinum-rated facility. The infrastructure has been built to support renewable energy integration, reflecting NTT’s commitment to reducing carbon impact across its data centre footprint.
Security remains a top priority, with a 7-layer security framework, carrier-neutral network options, and multiple ISP integrations to ensure secure and diverse connectivity for enterprise clients.
Operational Excellence
The campus is staffed by a highly skilled 24×7 operations team, supported by remote-hands services designed to meet enterprise SLA expectations. Its strategic location near Kempegowda International Airport ensures efficient accessibility for customers, partners, and global teams requiring quick deployment or maintenance.
Leadership Insight
Speaking on the launch, Alok Bajpai, Managing Director (India), NTT Global Data Centres, highlighted the company’s focus on strengthening India’s digital backbone.
He stated:
“NTT is proud to showcase how we are shaping India’s digital future through world-class infrastructure and sustainable practices. Our Bangalore campuses—including the largest in the city—deliver unmatched capacity and scalability for enterprises and hyperscalers alike. Today, we operate 26+ MW of live IT load in Bangalore, and with BLR4 adding another 22 MW, we are significantly expanding our capabilities to meet growing demand. Our investments in Karnataka go beyond data centres; they include renewable energy initiatives that reinforce our dedication to a greener future. These efforts not only strengthen India’s digital backbone but also create direct and indirect economic impact for the region.”
